Material details
Boatcoat marine grade shrink wrap is a low density polyethylene
film available in a variety of widths, lengths, and thicknesses to meet
a wide variety of needs.
This material differs from common plastic sheeting in
that it shrinks in a highly uniform way and contains ultra-violet inhibitors
and anti-brittling strengtheners to protect covers against deterioration
under sunlight and to stop it ripping or tearing. It also gives the Boatcoat
cover impact strength & elasticity, vital for marine applications
including transport.
Boatcoat shrink wrap incorporates resins that when subjected
to heat begin a uniform shrinking process causing the shrink wrap to
shrink 25% to 30%, which strengthens and moulds it to any type of structure.
The result is a cover that withstands the extremes of
winter storms and motorway speeds!
